Amazon, Black Friday 2025. Real deal, or a dud dressed up as one?

Three moves before you buy

01 Check the history

Look up the price over the last 90 days. Paste an Amazon link into camelcamelcamel, or search the item on Google Shopping and look for the price history. Both are free.

02 Check your list

A deal on something you weren’t going to buy isn’t saving money. It’s spending it.

03 Set a cap

Pick your total before Friday and stop when you hit it. Doorbusters are built to make you forget the number.

How this works

Every price is real. These are Amazon’s own prices around Black Friday 2025 (Nov 28, 2025), read from camelcamelcamel’s price history. The “was” price is the list price Amazon showed. Prices read off a chart can be a few dollars off, and the dotted stretches are where the price changed too fast to read.

The pictures are drawings, not product photos. Brand names belong to their owners, and none of them sponsor this.

The patterns are real. Some stores raise the “was” price for a few days before a sale so the discount looks bigger. Some products hit the same sale price every month. A real deal is the lowest price in a long while, not the biggest percent on the tag.
